I'm not too picky about blades but the quality of the Astra has dropped a lot lately. These blades are dull, they claw and tug at my facial hair and worse. The surface of the blade is uneven, in some places it cuts more, in others less. I have been using Astra blades for many years. Older blades (sharp and smooth) have the brand name written in black on both sides. The new blades (which are awful) are lightly engraved with the brand name on one side and are blank on the back. Some people wonder if it's fake, but I don't think so. Like from a factory in Russia. If I had known how to order the old ones I would have. But they all have the same product number on Revain. In the meantime I have switched to a blade made in Japan and it is much better.
