Overall a good buy! in beds

UPDATE: My child, having lived in luxury on sofas and human beds since he was a puppy, LOVES this bed. Yes I put it on my bed to help her get used to it but now I find she sleeps on it even if I leave it on the tiles. It's a bit sad really, I miss her stealing my pillows but she prefers her own space, I guess I'm dealing with a teenager right now. torso) and she weighs 58 pounds. I was torn between a 40" and a 52" but decided on a 40" as it likes to hug the curves and also because I wasn't sure I would have enough space in my studio apartment for a 52". " would have. I am very glad that I chose the 40 inch! As you can see from the photos, she has enough space when curled up and can lie down completely, but her legs will be hanging down. I think she would be just as happy in a 52 inch bed and it would give her some more "play/chew" space on the inside of the bed so that's something to consider. She understood the purpose of the crib. bed and lay down immediately when I unfolded it but she still doesn't understand why she's there when there's an absolutely beautiful couch just a few feet away lol. However, when I got home from work and stretched out on the couch, it began to dawn on her that she had her own cozy little island. The sides stay magically plump when she's in, but I think, as other reviewers have noted, that the inner ottoman could use more padding (this also depends on how much your dog weighs). When she's on top of him I don't think she's touching the ground, but she's pretty close. I'll add some styrofoam egg crates at the end for extra padding. I weigh about 150 pounds, I crawled in last night and when I fit in, curled up (and it was actually quite comfortable), I touched the floor. However, the recommended weight for the 40" model is 45-70 pounds, so it's understandable, even then it was still comfortable! The material of the bed looks very high quality and the navy blue is a real navy blue. It picks up dog hair, which is actually good news for my tile floors, but it doesn't snag the fabric so it's very easy to remove (bang it against a wall or tree though, and you're good to go). . The fabric also feels very durable and seems to hold up very well even to scratches. I appreciate the bottom being waterproof but I really want it to have some sort of grip. It slips on ALL my tile floors when she jumps in or hits it when chasing a toy. It's annoying and at a price that really needs to be considered when designing this bed. I'm definitely going to borrow a hot glue gun and dot the bottom to fix this big mistake. To keep my child warm in this bed, I place them on my memory foam bed before bed. She jumped up and didn't come out for the rest of the night. Even if I got up in the middle of the night, I wouldn't go back to her and grab my snuggliest pillow, which happens every night! So I'm a lucky girl who doesn't have to share a pillow :D I'll be pushing this "boat" as I like to call it, onto my bed every night from now on!
