RC12YC Iridium Upgrade

Used in OE Champion (Briggs & Stratton Rebranding) #RC12YC Lawnmowers. Original copper candles are not bad at all and due to their limited use mostly only need to be cleaned. But they have 2 disadvantages that they eliminate. OE spark plugs will start to misfire at idle as they start to foul. These iridium tips are known to shoot better and stay cleaner longer. The lifespan of the iridium tip is much longer. They just don't wear out as quickly as conventional plug-in electrodes. Most new cars now come standard with it and typically last 100,000 miles. Please note the porcelain is smooth and not ribbed as shown in the listing photos. Specification .030 inch. The installation is very easy. I put a drop of silver anti-seize on the threads, but not necessarily. I don't use a torque wrench, but with a short ratchet and relatively low torque, it's easy to feel the puck compress and seat. stop there Although the price is about double that of a regular outlet, I'd say this is hands down the best value of the two options due to the lower maintenance and longer lifespan. It's still not clear to me if this #RC12WYPB4 (9201) or #71EZ plug is the recommended iridium plug for use in a Briggs OHV lawn mower engine, but it is physically closer to OE #RC12YC and works great.
