I've been trying to find an alternative to the typical fluoridated toothpastes for a number of years. Obstacles to implementation were terrible taste, horrible textures that turn my cleaning ritual into a choke competition, frequent inefficiency, and other undesirable ingredients (sodium lauryl sulfate, carrigenaan, etc.). Finally! The one who avoids all these traps. I was skeptical about switching to black toothpaste, which turned out to be not difficult at all. Just different from the previous colors. After the first try I noticed a good feeling of cleanliness on the teeth, no lingering aftertaste from excess essential oils, teeth stayed as white as typical brands and there was no persistent inflammation of the gums and mouth. The latter has happened to several of these alternative toothpastes, as well as Crest and Colgate. I was actually excited to order a second tube and wait for it to arrive as I misremembered buying it locally and couldn't find it in any of the stores I checked. So I ran out. Then I looked at my previous Revain orders and realized my source was right there. Again. While trying alternatives while waiting, I missed this one. I plan to continue with Charbright. I hope they don't change the "recipe".
