Review on Hyperkin Shell Carrying Nintendo Switch 3Ds by Jacob Andreti

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A simple bag that protects and stores many things

Ordered on day one and didn't even notice that the straps at the corners are vertical instead of slanted. However, your photos have been updated so you can see the logo and orientation of these straps. Also, mine also had an odor when I got it, but it went away later that night. I like the case very much. Its solid shape offers excellent hull protection. It also has a bit of padding, but I haven't seen any of these cases that are actually designed for real drop protection like a phone case. The material is comfortable and of good quality. Oils and stuff with a few stains, but you can wipe them off (I took my Switch with me during my lunch break, so it's probably better to wipe the fried chicken fat off my fingers than me :-)). There is enough space for my switch, the grip that comes with the system so you can play in table mode, headphones, 5 games and a charging cable. It fits a little on the handle but closes well and the pouch flexes a bit in two areas where the handles lift a bit (see attached pictures). It also doesn't put much pressure on the Switch's screen. It also has a strap so that helps if you think you might drop it. All in all, its very minimal and sleek black design means it looks old enough for me to wear to the office and not feel like a kid :-) For $10, it's hard to beat.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Good but not great
