Review on ANSMANN Rechargeable Micro AAA Batteries, 1.2V/800mAh, NiMH with maxE Technology - Ideal for High Power Devices - 8 Pack by Unique Mayeaux

A good set of batteries with an honestly stated capacity

This review is for 4 packs of AAA batteries. These batteries appear to be good and have a capacity that lives up to the hype. Long-term tests of these batteries have not yet been carried out. These batteries do not come with a plastic case holder. These batteries are from Ansmann and the packaging is labeled in German, but the batteries themselves say 'Made in China'. Batteries have a black top. As long as they match the ad, so I have no complaints, their capacity is above the advertised 800mAh, which is normal. Mine showed 821, 821, 848 and 838 when I ran a discharge refresh cycle on a Lacrosse BC-700 charger. They also didn't arrive completely drained, so I know they didn't sit idle for years before shipping to me (which is bad when you're buying rechargeable batteries). It meets the specs, so I know the manufacturer doesn't lie about battery capacity like so many others do. A pack of 4 AAA alkaline batteries retails for five dollars or more here, so paying just over seven dollars for them was a steal even if they last 100 cycles. Most batteries are designed to last much longer than 100 cycles so I assume these batteries will pay for themselves. It's just a pack of 4 rechargeable batteries, you already need a charger when you buy it.
