Great fit. In sports shoes I usually wear size 7, sometimes 7.5. You have a lot of space. Easy to get in. I wore them around the house for two hours doing chores and they are very comfortable. I like that these are not traditional water socks. They look like sports shoes, but are very light. "I'm looking forward to wearing them to the beach this winter! Update: The main reason I wanted water socks/shoes is to minimize sand getting between my toenails and cuticles. Big. Didn't let sand in during the 2.5 mile walk on the beach. But on the second day (much like James H. said) the seam in the middle of the right heel started chafing on my heel. On the third day the same thing on the left heel. There are seams on the inside of the heel. If they could be made without a seam down the center of the heel that would be great. When walking on sand, even dense sand closer to the water, shoes slip, and then each seam leads to heel injuries. I've bought gel heel inserts but they curl up and lose grip. This is very bad because the shoes did what I wanted but also what I didn't expect.
