I know it's not a hiking mark. However, on a whim I tried Columbia as a hiking shoe. WOW! I was impressed. You are wonderful! I'm just a part-time weekend traveler, but I'm completely sold out in these uncomfortable shoes. Yes, Columbia has great wet-weather clothing and jackets, but no shoes. I dared and won! I would encourage you to give them a try! I'm a big fan of Altra and Keen shoes, they were all I wore until I tried these! Columbia Redmond V2! I am very impressed! Extremely comfortable, large toe box, excellent stability, well made durable construction and great grip. I am not affiliated with them, just a customer. I thought I'd just share this with you.
