I finally found a thermos with a glass lid to replace the one that fell off. I would try to replace the liner but the handle broke so the outside was destroyed as well. The old one has survived many falls and trips while traveling over the years but this time it fell off the countertop and onto the tiled floor in our RV on wheels. Finding a similar thermos wasn't an easy task as most thermoses these days are either plastic or metal and I've never seen one that really keeps the coffee hot for a long time. So far this one is good. I like the spout our old one didn't have. I'm glad the spout is on the rim of the bottle and not in the cap. The inner lid seems thinner and a bit lighter than the older models and I think the heat loss is greater than the old one. Also, it is a bit harder to screw in and out as the thickness of the rim is thinner. Overall I'm happy with it and glad I didn't have to resort to anything other than enamelled glass.
