refers to bad bottle news. DO NOT BUY "

unlike big brother, extra 35oz mug, I'm surprised Revain didn't remove this item as it's a serious design flaw. It a small dosing indentation gives the neck for pouring a drink, you can screw the cork on as tight as you can but still leave room for the entire contents to flow out of the bottle, I've just received mine and am sending it back to Revane with this comment this item.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Fragile floor in kitchen and dining room

I like glass, not stainless steel, but! My last two are broken, the last one is in my backpack full of coffee. The problem is the unprotected bottom of the thermos. The smallest bump on the butt and that's it. So I bought this one again, my third, to add foam to the bottom. Happy to see my box of Revain on my porch, when I picked up the box I heard the glass in the box sound like a rain stick. It was already broken. There was bubble wrap on the side of the thermos but nothing around it, above…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers

Great but Fragile: Kitchen and Dining Room

I chose vacuum glass because my drinking water from the spring takes on a metallic stainless steel taste and vacuum insulation is the only way to use glass or stainless steel. This thermos is as advertised. This keeps my water cold in a 115 degree machine. It crashed while tipping over from a vertical position. I'm taking another reviewer's advice and adding cushioning foam to the inside of the next one. The lower one is unscrewed. It is also convenient to drink directly from this spouted…

This is vacuum glass.

I prefer a glass vacuum flask. It keeps you warm longer. Glass is not as thermally conductive as metal, and the open end is not open, minimizing heat loss when half filled or less. I have had stainless steel bottles where after removing the cup or lid the stainless steel was exposed like a chimney and hot causing significant heat loss. Very bad design. I have also found that some thermos lids are not insulated and allow heat to escape. Another bad design. This jug will keep your coffee hot for…

Good, but with disadvantages.: Insulated beverage containers

The thermos flask arrived intact despite the lack of protective packaging. Works pretty well, holds the coffee vapor for over 6 hours with no apparent heat loss and doesn't feel too fragile although I've been pretty gentle with it. Easy to cut your finger when unscrewing the cap. I overlooked another reviewer's point of view on this pre-purchase issue and attributed it to user error. In fact, I didn't even think about it until he pinched my thumb and gave me an annoying clean quarter inch cut…

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Protection

I am very glad that I have a glass thermos and not a metal one. However, in this model, the collar that holds the glass insert is made of plastic or silicone that comes into contact with the hot liquid inside. By not overfilling and keeping the bottle upright, you can minimize this contact. I don't want the plastic/silicone to come in contact with the hot beverages I'm about to drink. However, it works well and there are few glass thermos options left. In fact, this product may be discontinued…

  • nice item

It has a glass interior that stays cleaner for longer.

Ok I bought this product after using a similar Coleman device for several years but gave it up a long time ago, had to throw it away and have been going through some metal thermos bottles before purchasing this device. A metal thermos rusts for some reason, maybe because I fill it up with strong coffee almost every day, always inside. This thermos has a glass interior which not only keeps my coffee hot, hot, hot, but doesn't seem to ruin the flavor of the coffee as much as a metal thermos does.

  • 1 year trial

  • Can't remember

Glass thermos with spout

I finally found a thermos with a glass lid to replace the one that fell off. I would try to replace the liner but the handle broke so the outside was destroyed as well. The old one has survived many falls and trips while traveling over the years but this time it fell off the countertop and onto the tiled floor in our RV on wheels. Finding a similar thermos wasn't an easy task as most thermoses these days are either plastic or metal and I've never seen one that really keeps the coffee hot for a…
