I don't use a tablet, but I have a flat (10-1/8" x 10-7/8" x 0.75") "leaf antenna" that I need to be at a certain angle to put together an optimal collection of over the air stations This is great for an antenna except the antenna is too thick for the clips (is it possible to have thicker clips looks like this like it's easy to replace?), but I can improvise. Installation was easy. It attaches to the back of the bookshelf (1/4" plywood) with two screws. Although plastic drywall mollies are included, I used metal drywall butterfly anchors for the two mounting screws to attach them to thin plywood and they are strong as they fit in the rack. Installed, it offers more flexibility in horizontal and vertical movement. Angle. The rotation is firm, not as stiff as the main hinges, somewhat the same level of "stickiness" as a vertical hinge. Easy to move but firm hold. The antenna is a little thick to mount (my problem, but with the other clamp there is a great opportunity for additional functionality), but the clamps are flexibly positioned and can be easily moved once using the screw clamps. It's where you want it. It's true that the hinges are tight, but it's good especially for my application as I can point the antenna and it doesn't move even with a little push on the back of the bookshelf.
