This mouse is hence 50% less noisy. Silent doesn't fit, and you shouldn't use it in this context. Never again will I waste my money on this useless course, and neither should you. The benefits: Feels good in the hand, fits my hand well (I have long fingers), and the left and right buttons are incredibly silent, however I have encountered much quieter. Contains drawbacks: What a horrible rim! just FANTASTIC! When you press the wheel on a cheap, out-of-date (read: broken) mouse, you hear a resounding crunch, as I discovered.
