Review on 🐱 TruLuxe Grain-Free Natural Wet Cat Food by Weruva by Dawn Burg

A picky cat with a gentle digestion will like it

I have an older cat with all sorts of problems. He didn't do well with wet food even when he was young (tender digestive system), but Weruva does it better than a dozen other premium brands I've tried. I've always fed him mostly kibble as he worked best with his system and he could graze as he pleased (he's a big cat). Then about 18 months ago his kidneys started to show signs of deterioration (he's 15) and I had to increase my water intake - more wet food. People complain about the high water/sauce content of this particular strain, but I would buy the sauce separately as my cat loves it! I try to give him several flavors of Weruva, but this is the only one he eats every day without getting fussy (except Mediterranean, but he only gets fish as a special treat). I have been feeding my cat Weruva wet food for many years and Truluxe for 18 months. He can be picky about wet food, but he loves the variety and digests it well. It can be "watery," but for me (and my cat), that's a plus. It's expensive and there can be an inconsistency in content, i.e. the ratio of meat to sauce is inconsistent between cans. Therefore I do not give 5 stars. But at this point my cat gets it or I cook him quality chicken myself.
