Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Godox SK400II 400Ws Studio Strobe GN65 5600K Bowens Mount Monolight, with Built-in Godox 2.4G Wireless System, 150W Modeling Lamp for Outstanding Output Stability, Anti-Preflash, 1/16-1/1 40 Steps Output Control by Vincent Blitz

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I just bought my 3rd.

These amazing lights change the game. Lately I've been building my home studio. I started shooting portraits almost 3 years ago and have only used 2 flashes (also Godox) until recently. The difference between these 400w bulbs and Godox 685 flashes is literally night and day as my images are no longer all underexposed and need to be upscaled in post. This means sharper images with softer light (since you can use larger modifiers to wrap the light around the subject). It costs $125 and you get a reflector with mesh, barn doors, and gels. which is good for creating that spotlight look on your background. It's also good for turning a white background into other colors. You can put two gels together (red + yellow = orange etc.). I can't say anything bad about this deal because if you don't need the portability of the AD200, this light costs less than half the money and doubles the performance. There's a slim chance I'll get a fourth (I promised myself that after that last purchase everything would be ready). But with the 3 light setup it should be enough for almost all of my portrait needs.
