I really wanted a five star product. But here's the problem. My desktop computer is 9 inches wide and 19 inches high. The flange that goes under the computer only extends 5 1/2 inches. This means the dust filter and metal grille on the underside of my PC are under tremendous pressure, while I would have preferred this flange extended a full 9 inches. Second, in order to fit the PC into the unit, I had to either remove its back leg or give the entire PC an extra inch of room to hang down. At a point opposite the flange that slopes down from the other side, it only touches the PC at the top. Below there is no contact at all. It looks bad and unreliable. Fourth, it would be very useful if I put my PC in the jig to remove the plastic retaining lever. But you can't do that and reassemble it locally from the PC. But that seems to be an oversight as all the parts are machined to accept a 5 1/2 long bolt that might fit in the grip which currently mounts to a 5/8" bolt or so. A longer bolt allows you to reattach the plastic support arm in place after mounting the PC to the metal flanges. And surprisingly it's 3M, but the assembly instructions were pathetic! When I tried to assemble my PC, the whole unit rolled out all the way forward, and luckily I got it! Nothing I noticed in the instructions told me to attach it IMMEDIATELY or the computer could slip out and fall on the floor. Anyway, everything is in place now. I'll try to get the 5 1/2" screw I mentioned. I'd love to extend this bottom flange around the entire base of my PC, but it can be quite tricky. Updated: The holder as designed, didn't work for my desktop.It wasn't secure.But I got the mount working by replacing the outer mount with a regular 15" rubber bungee cord (e.g. third bungee hook). Why a chain rather than trying to use a 20"-21" bungee? This gives you the ability to choose the level of bungee tension. And mine is tight!
