It's definitely soft. A little on the skinny side, but that's ok for us. bought king. It's a little too small for a king. Doesn't really hang from the sides of the bed. The color is strange. It has turned light grey. He looks brilliant on the bed. Grey-green colour. I had one that I brought back from a destination a few years ago. aim more like it.
