Took for Xbox, had the opposite experience. doesn't work at all.
I got this to replace a broken 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable that I need to use my headset with my Xbox. He went straight into the hole and I could hear the muffled voice very faintly, but I couldn't hear it at all. Didn't work for me, maybe you'll have better luck. product or seller. Not sure what the other guy did so well, but be aware that if you're buying this for your Xbox you should look for the two black rings on the adapter, it's not intended for a headset.
