There seems to be little difference between the lowest and highest settings. Of course, the whisks spin faster on high settings, but not by much. Very strange. I'm not even sure if he will whip the cream to the desired density, although I haven't tried it yet. It's also quite heavy compared to my old Black and Decker hand mixer. The positive thing is that the motor is quiet and the hand mixer is very stable on the worktop. The speakers appear to be well made. I don't really care about the light, but since it's LED it doesn't heat up my batter while mixing, which is good. If the light heated my dough, this mixer would be returned. I'm keeping Gourmia but will continue to use my old B&D until it dies.
