Review on 🎒 ROKR Marble Run Wooden Puzzles: Engaging Hands-On Fun! by Kevin Carey

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for skillful builders

This 3D puzzle was a lot of fun putting together and it worked for a short time and then again for a short time after some tweaking. The problem is that the pieces are very fragile but require some effort to put them together. Superglue works well on tiny pieces of wood, but a continuous loop of beads is difficult to hold. The guide on assembling the gears and waxing before installation was very helpful. In my particular set, the laser cut didn't go through the first few pieces of wood panel so I had to use a utility knife to cut through it. This may not be a suitable gift for children under 18 as it may require superglue and a precision knife. Despite some issues and some frustration adjusting some of the details, it was fun to see how the corners, ramps and details fit together. (It was called "Night City," so I thought it had lights like Night City, but they didn't - like in the video ad for this set).

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • poorly thought out
