When I first installed the Yorkim LED bulb on my lawn tractor, I tested it next to an original 1156 bulb that was 10 years old. Although much whiter, I appreciated that the Yorkim lamp was slightly dimmer than the existing incandescent lamp. I also have a dimmable Nitecore HC65 headlamp that maxes out at 1000 lumens. I compared the brightness of the Yorkim to a Nitecore headlamp and found it to be between 280 and 80 lumens. I measured the brightness at night using light hitting a white garage door about 5 feet away. The build quality of the bulbs themselves is pretty good, but I was looking for a boost in brightness and it definitely isn't. it. I am returning it and will not recommend it to anyone who wants to increase the brightness over a standard incandescent bulb.
