My house has mixed reviews about it. Husband doesn't like it, but he's a Bose fan. I think they're ok, especially since I got them for an honest review and didn't have to shell out $200. They were well packaged and shipped. Upon opening, I found that they were not attractive. Since I was going to use them in the garden at a BBQ or party, I overlooked how unattractive they are from an aesthetic point of view. In fact, they resemble a flashlight more than a speaker. I tried setting them up but couldn't find a plug connection on the speakers. They also take batteries, but as they're primarily used around the home I'd rather plug them in and not spend money on batteries. On the back of the speaker is a part that is detachable and underneath is the male connector. I didn't realize the piece had come loose and really thought the manufacturer must have forgotten the connector. Once plugged in, they turned on instantly and my phone had no trouble finding the speakers. They're loud and clear when your music source is close enough. I now have an Anker speaker that I paid $20 for to use on the beach. It has a much better range than this item. But on the other hand, since it's mainly used in my garden, I don't have to worry about poor reception as my phone/iPod will be next to the speaker during use. If you move a few feet away from the speaker, it sounds like static, like a radio station a digit or two off. My husband also doesn't like the connectors from the speakers and receiver. The sight defeats the whole point of being wireless. When using a battery, the receiver still needs to be connected to the network, so despite Bluetooth technology it's not completely wireless. All in all a good set for my purpose. But there is a lot of room for improvement.
