Review on 🔩 DEWALT DW1648 Self Feed Set of 5 Pieces by John Rodriguez

I bought this because I had a couple of older Dewalt auto feed bits but wanted a different size and expected the same results. Well it has one bug which is really frustrating. I'm going through 2 3/4" joists in a house that's over 200 years old. When the bit enters about 1/3 of the way it starts twisting from side to side. I picked the first few Holes worked through. I found the bit was clogged with shavings. Now it takes me about 3 shots to make each hole. Work until it vibrates, then pull out and clean the bit with a small screwdriver. Repeat the stretch then finally go all the way through and over the last bit the option of self filing I only have about 16 holes otherwise I would pull out my Milwaukee angle drill with a drill Since I just got a new 20v battery -Dewalt, which has a much smaller body than my previous 18v drill bit, I figured it would be easiest to use this and this shorter drill bit, which allowed me to work between joists without a hole punch.ll , good luck next time l.
