DO NOT buy for daycare
I have a daycare at home. When I first bought these mats I was impressed by their thickness and comfort (mine is 2 inches thick). However, after just a few months of daily use by my children in kindergarten, they began to tear at the corners. Now, a year later, I had to throw away all the carpets (10) because they were completely torn. If you only use these rugs occasionally and your child(ren) never uses them for building forts, doing gymnastics, etc. I think they will be fine. If not, don't waste your money.
