In June I bought an LG 24" Ultra Fine 4k from Apple that came with 2 cables: USB-C and Thunderbolt 3. Neither of these cables work properly with a MacBook Pro 2018 15" issued by my employer Can't establish a stable monitor connection As these cables provide a stable monitor connection with no issues when used with the latest MacBook Air and Macbok 12" I suspect there is a problem with the cables and monitor in Alright is and I blame it on the MacBook Pro.I had an apple support ticket and they forced me to reinstall the OS.It didn't fix the monitor connection and my employer ended up sending me a newer MacBook Pro.This new model has the same problem and i got lg to fix it.but as it will be very hassle to send it back.this monitor i decided to buy di e theory to test that the cable could just be bad even if it was bundled with the monitor. With this cable, the connection of the monitor is stable. Conclusion : the cables that come with the monitor, you can not with every monitor use, LG discounted a very poor quality monitor and included a very expensive monitor.
