I first tried LED license plate lights but after a few months they started flickering. Either the vibration or the heat was too much for her. I ordered them as the LEDs are properly aligned and give a lot of light onto the panel. Installation was easy, although I had to make a few changes. First, there is a gasket between the standard headlight and the bumper. This product does not include a gasket so I reused my old ones. This is normal, although it would be nice to have new seals that only cost pennies. Then the hole in the bumper was sewn up in such a way that it was impossible to install the left lamp in the right hole and vice versa. The key is just a slot in the bumper hole and a tab on the backlight. This product had 2 slight tabs so I had to cut a tab to make them fit. The instructions didn't mention this. The final issue is that the LED has polarity, so it must be inserted with the correct orientation. It's not a huge problem, but it does mean it takes a little trial and error. Do not leave the light on while plugging in this device, otherwise the fuse will blow. Just plug it in, turn on the light and see if it works. I would suggest testing this before reinstalling the entire device. The light output is much better than the factory headlights and the red LED strips improve my truck's visibility. All in all, it makes a well-built impression.
