I've never had a major knee injury, just a sprain here or there, but as I got older my knees started to hurt while playing sports, running or cycling. I needed lateral support and patella support. I bought these to replace a pair of standard knee pads that you can buy at any pharmacy. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of support and compression these knee pads provide. They are much better than the old braces and more comfortable. The compression is quite high but the material they are made of makes them very comfortable and flexible. I'm using them at insane training right now and they work great. They don't move or roll and offer good support.
