I bought the exact same collar for my Jack Russell, Rockford, when he was about 3 months old and he wore it every time we went out because . Now he is 4 years old and still wears the same collar but the holes and clasp area looked a little torn - the ropes were hanging down and cracks were forming - but this happened after at least 3 years so I can confirm that it IS durable and heavy duty collar. I'm so glad it turned out exactly the same. You can't beat the $8.99 price - a similar studded faux leather collar will cost at least twice as much at pet and department stores. Love the style - it makes it "punky" but the spikes won't hurt him or another dog while they're playing (but no one's going to bite his neck)! The rivets are rounded at the ends, and they're made of high quality stainless steel, as are the flat round decorative rivets - you won't get rust or chipping like fake or painted chrome. II will be buying more of these as gifts and as replacements for Rocky, they are so good. It also got here in a day or two - I waited a week to get it the first time but they are now stocked in Prime warehouses with free shipping.
