I had a big problem with the screws on the VGA side of the cable. They were extremely difficult to rotate, especially at any angle as I tried under the monitor. I ended up grabbing a screwdriver to try this and found that the screws would turn without actually screwing into the plastic part. Already separated? I am not sure. I ended up snapping one of them to the monitor and just letting it stand. The cable itself seems to work. Clear image. But I think next time I'll pay a little more for a better one.
