Used the boxed battery tester after the first battery didn't last a week. Batteries test above 6 volts at a maximum voltage of 6.6. But without the opportunity to check the load, the batteries may just be weak, since the first could not stand it. If you're using a regular PetSafe battery, you should see a flashing red light once installed, meaning the battery is installed and ready to use. These batteries give no such signal at all. And yes, their landing is not close at any level. The dog came out once and that is NOT good for a stubborn dog like mine. She can rush to the fence and hope it doesn't work again. POOH. I will not buy these batteries again.
