If you don't mind the heat or you need a micro thermal lamp then these lamps are for you. I love how bright these bulbs are but they are SO HOT! I bought these to replace the bulbs in a 4 light fixture that is the main lighting for the kitchen. Imagine cooking on an already preheated stovetop with something else in the oven and adding 4 heat lamps. Turning the air conditioner down to 73 degrees Fahrenheit and turning on the fan helps keep the heat down, but now I'm using way too much electricity just to keep the kitchen bright. I order LEDs to replace these halogen bulbs.
