Review on Neutrogena Oil-Free Liquid Eye Makeup Remover, Non-Greasy & Gentle Solution with Aloe & Cucumber Extract, 3.8 fl. oz by Jane Taylor

Pros: GENTLE - definitely yes. . I shook the bottle because it's a two-phase solution, then soaked a cotton pad and wiped away the eyeshadow, mascara, and brow powder. No irritation and although I have sensitive skin and eyes I felt great. I applied the eye shadow well on a cotton pad, but not the mascara. (Essence False Eyelash Effect.) I could see the color of my eyeshadow, but I couldn't see the line of black ink. Bad Points: Until I washed my face well AFTER using this remover and got mascara rings under my eye, two or three strokes of this cotton pad and remover did NOT touch my mascara. My mascara isn't waterproof either. So the first cotton pads and Neutrogena's gentle oil-free remover didn't touch my mascara at all. I wet another pad and it stood out slightly from the rest of the mascara, and then I washed my face to remove the remover (again). He did a good job removing the mascara residue. I would still buy it again because I love that I woke up the next day with no eye irritation but you need to work on removing the mascara. Since the remover is very mild and I hate waking up with irritated eyes, I would reconcile using it AFTER cleansing my face to remove makeup residue and then rinsing off again. If I could find another that is just as gentle but more effective, I would switch. Therefore, it is NOT recommended for waterproof mascara.
