Review on Dezin Electric Kettle: Keep Warm Function, Double Wall Design, Bicolor LED – 1.5L Hot Water Kettle with Auto Shut-Off and Boil Dry Protection for Coffee, Tea by Stephen Good

Revainrating 4 out of 5

However, there were some problems.

Initial rating: 5 stars for customer service. Jeremy was fantastic. 3.5 stars for the work. Some good, some not so good. 1 star for reliability. Our first kettle lasted 4 months and worked fine until one day it wouldn't turn on. (Switch not working?) Contacted support and at their request sent a short video showing the problem. Bam, the new kettle arrived in 3 days. Excellent! Spilled water through about 7 full pots and it started smelling like burning plastic (wire insulation?). Contacted Jeremy from support about the issue. 3 days late, another new kettle. That was 2 weeks ago and this kettle seems to be working fine. (Now I have 2 broken kettles and I don't know what to do with them.) So much for customer reviews, now for the kettle. Pros: - Like shape, size, appearance. - Easy to use and water never comes into contact with the plastic - Wide lid makes it easy to fill from the filter jug - Useful LEDs in 2 colors (one for cooking, one for keeping warm). Cons: - Obvious quality control and power button design. When cooking, it draws around 950W peak power, so it takes up to 8.5 minutes to finish cooking and turn off the device. You'd think the plastic bowl would hold the water temperature longer, but it doesn't seem to perform any better than the other simple glass teapots we use. I have a. - Not sure if it's just this design or all new kettles are like this, but sitting on the power base can be an issue. More sophisticated than the 3 year old kettle it replaced. All in all I would give 4 stars if it held up better. But then I never knew anything about great customer service (come on).
