This fan has received rave reviews all over the internet. I was a little concerned about rust, but figured that while rust never sleeps, if it starts I can probably fix it. My first impression. Easy to assemble by watching a video on YouTube. The design is beautiful. I see whisper mode in the cooler months (LA) but not quite now with Trump's global warming. What worries me: There is so much plastic being used, apparently everywhere where if it breaks you become a screwdriver. The part that keeps the cage closed. oscillation button. motor housing. The fan blade itself. Seriously. I would pay 50€ more for an all-metal fan of this quality. 'Cause I know one of those pieces of plastic is gonna break someday or something. As for performance. I wanted a little more power or power, if you know what I mean. He's strong, but I want more. And as far as speeds go, there are so many, but it's really hard to tell what the difference is between some of them. I prefer Low.Mid.and High.Ok. . Also, I bought it partly because someone said the blue light would fade. However, this only applies to certain modes. For others, they stay on. If you sleep at night, why the heck do you need blue lights on this thing? Planning to land a plane in your bedroom? Here's the deal on all of these products. They make plastic that looks like metal, almost art. As if it were the main thing. Well, we all know it's not. I have an old Hunter, all metal. It still turns when I'm long gone. If I thought I could find something like this in metal I would throw this thing away. I can't find it at all. Update 2 weeks after purchase: rating changed to 5 stars. I understand that all that plastic put me off at first, but the reality is that's how everything is made these days. I have come to appreciate the thoughtful design and functionality of this item. I used whisper mode at night which is great. And I like the fact that the light dims after a few seconds. Its design details are similar to those that make this fan stand out from the crowd. 5 Stars.
