I have worked in Recruiting for over 20 years now as both an agency recruiter/employer consultant (both sides) so this was my 2nd "job" out there! My first job had me working with candidates who were searching from outside companies looking into opportunities within their current employers - which made sense because it's what they are already doing when you recruit them away!! This second position involved more direct recruiting through multiple agencies across many industries; including staffing firms like mine where people come off layoff lists or retiree searches etc.. It has been great having someone else focus solely onto candidate relationships building instead of just myself being 100% focused only towards hiring needs.
