Review on Xiaomi Redmi 8 4/64 GB Global Smartphone, Ruby Red by Aneta Laskowska ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are some variations, but tolerable on the whole.

I thought the camera was of very poor quality. Before making my purchase, I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews. Every single one of those reviews showed how great it is; in fact, when there is sufficient daylight, the camera appears to be very good. But then I came to the conclusion that there is no other place besides the street during the day where it is impossible to capture decent shots. It shoots well under the lamp, glare, and everything is visible. In a room with poor lighting, the camera is not very good, it strongly distorts colors (dim, red on the camera is pale orange), and it shoots well in a room with good lighting. Regarding the battery, this was another another unwelcome and unanticipated discovery for me. Although everyone writes about the battery's benefits, I will discuss it from the perspective of its drawbacks. 5000 mAh is adequate for my needs (in the past, it was only 3,000, which was sufficient for a day, there was the Meizu 5s). I had anticipated that the battery would last for at least one and a half days, if not two. In point of fact, active usage is plenty for one day, and a month later (when it may have been more in the beginning), I watched a video on YouTube, deleted everything that discharges the phone faster, and it's still enough for one day's worth of use. For the first month, there was no loss of even a percentage throughout the night, but there is currently a maximum of 1-2. If the phone is used very little over the course of two days, that should be plenty. There was a day when I went on Facebook a couple of times and called a couple of times, and it was released in just under two days. If it said 3000 mAh, I would not expect him to last more than a day, but he does not pull for more than five hours (there is a lenovo vibe, there is also 5 thousand, he is 5 years old and that is enough for two days). The local gallery and music weren't particularly to my taste, but from what I gather, this is a typical issue with redmi smartphones in general, and not just with this model. In the fields of music and advertising, the gallery is not an especially practical option. There is absolutely no interference from Redmi applications, and there are no advertisements for them (rarely, if only). In general, if you are only using it as a dialer, you are doing an excellent job; if you are only using a few programs, you are also doing an excellent job; but, if you are highly active, then you may live, but not very pleasantly. You are able to make use of it, and if you do so as a secondary phone, it will in most cases be fantastic.

Pros
  • The pricing is reasonable, it has a huge screen, it fits well in the hand, it plays games smoothly, it is easy to view videos on it, and it comes with a case, a beautiful back panel, and a beautiful back panel.
Cons
  • It's a camera and a battery.
