Review on πŸ‘“ Tifosi Veloce 1040800187 Reading Glasses with Dual Lens by Michele Denzer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These cycling glasses with reading lenses are awesome!

I bought these glasses not expecting much. They weren't cheap, but under $50 made me want to try them. I've been wary of criticizing the reading portion of lenses as "too small". If it were ordinary sunglasses I would agree. When I wear them while driving, I lift my head to read things straight. But they're aimed at cyclists (or runners) who have a hard time reading small numbers on fitness watches and bike computers. They are PERFECT for this application. They are small enough not to interfere with "normal" vision, but just right for small images viewed almost straight down. It's important to be able to see these numbers - more for security reasons, so you don't spend too much time looking down (and squinting) but to have a quick look. It's so organic I forget I'm wearing those special glasses! I would like the nose piece to be adjustable but it is comfortable up to the bridge of the nose. I think this is the perfect shade for those days when you need eyeshadow, although photochromic lenses would be absolutely perfect. This would have increased the price significantly, but I would be willing to pay $100 for a pair like this. The style of these glasses is very good - I think they look pretty cool on my face and it's very hard to tell if there are readers built into the underside of the lenses. The case that comes with it is fine, although the zipper doesn't close as easily as other glass cases I've had. Some cycling goggles let in too much air to prevent fogging and they have vents in the corners to help with that, but in my experience it's not too much. There is some fogging on the underside where the reading lenses are located, but the entire top of the bridge of the nose helps alleviate this condition.
