Some important installation notes. First look inside the magnet housing and you will see three (3) broken tabs. This allows the disc to rotate and fit fully into the plastic locking slots. It should snap into place with an audible click when rotated clockwise about 1/8 inch. If only 2 tabs are broken, like mine, the device will not snap into the notches inside the case. YOU have to break the third one so it can rotate and lock properly or else it will twist and fall off the wall if you move the installed shower head the wrong way. , you need to clean and dry properly with alcohol, but most importantly, you need to force the rubber pad for at least 30 seconds. The poster who commented he used a piece of wood to push the device against the wall and overcome the thickness of the rubber pad for installation was correct and reasonable. If you use thicker tape than the thickness of the gasket, water will seep into the taped area and possibly damage the tape. So use good stuff when you do this. You will not overcome the thickness of the rubber pad when installing and holding the device for more than 30 seconds. Then it does not work and quickly falls off the wall. It must be completely waterproof and installed under pressure. Any shortcuts and it will fail. Roughening the back of the plastic disc is a step that should not be skipped and is not listed in the instructions. I would recommend using screws if the mount will be used regularly or abused by children. Weak people may have a problem with hand or body pressure trying to overcome the rubber pad for more than 30 seconds, otherwise the seal is not 100% and fails. I would use a drill and mount with screws if kids or rough/constant use is the norm.
