Review on πŸ”Š Anker PowerConf Bluetooth Speakerphone: Enhanced Voice Pickup & 24H Call Time for Home Office Meetings by Antoine Collins

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I've been waiting for a product like this!

We just received our Anker PowerConf and used it for the first time this morning. We are away on business 100% of the time and have several conference calls each week, sometimes in the office and sometimes in a hotel, school or "mobile office" (our car). I've wanted a portable conference call speakerphone for a long time, but I've never been able to find a product like this before. The speaker feels solid and well made; just a little heavy in a reassuring way (light enough to carry around but doesn't seem to break when traveling). Still has a slight factory/chemical smell but I only unpacked it this morning. The case is nice and sturdy, but I don't think a speaker and charging cable will fit inside; This is normal as I keep all my chargers and tech in a separate bag that travels with me. Judging from two calls this morning: fast charging (USB C), easy to set up without even looking at the instructions, clear call quality (we connected to my phone via bluetooth), volume adjusted quickly and got nice and loud and it was easy to see when we muted or not. I have not yet tried connecting to a computer using our teleconferencing software (Zoom) or a cable, nor have I tried charging the device through the speaker. I streamed a podcast through speakers for a few minutes and it sounded pretty good. To be honest, I was so excited to have a speaker for conference calls that it never occurred to me that it would even make a great Bluetooth speaker for podcasts or music, but it's really nice, this one ability to have on the same device. I've already reviewed the Revain but I'm so glad this speaker exists. I can't count the number of times I've traveled and attended a conference call only to have to strain to hear or hand the phone to every speaker. I have dreamed of such a product for so long and for me the price ($129) is worth it. It's very boring, but I can't wait for our next call to smash this little speaker again!

Pros
  • Optimized clarity and volume: Your voice is automatically equalized to compensate for differences in volume and distance from your Bluetooth car kit.
Cons
  • Minor issues
