Well, I'm basically a plump and tiny girl. Tried it 3x and 2x. As you can see from the photos, I have a heavy midsection. So depending on how you like your fit will determine which size you should take. I have to say that the sleeves in both sizes were very long for me and I had to cut and hem them shorter, they were longer than needed almost the entire length of the arm. While the 2x fit and were comfortable, I felt like they hugged me a bit. So I keep 3x. I'm 5'2, 220 lbs. I will update when I actually use it in the water. Overall, this is a nicely made top that doesn't feel hot or restrictive.
