I bought mine here in Maui as well as the 64 oz tankard. I followed the YouTube video. Its a very light touch. Its all you ever need. So far i have filled the tankard 13 times. I get one CO2 to fill the tankard 4 times. Ok, where to buy the CO2. Ebay. Mine was shipped from Florida and they were food quality. Bought this to pair with the growler (which is great). It's easy to use/clean but not very practical. I gave it 5 stars because it is quality and works as intended. We will probably continue to just pour our beer directly from the growler. Perhaps it's better suited for someone who plans on not draining their growler in one night?

Tried it out once, and put it back in the box Works good, but just not feeling it. I bought this for a 1 Gallon Drink Tank. Thanks for attention.

Great item. Had an issue with it not working properly and contacted customer service and the issue was resolved quickly.

If you don't like this product you might not be using it right or you dislike the proprietary CO2 cartridges. I can't blame you for the latter, but for the former, a light touch is required. Having filled many things with butane over the years I'd say you pressurize slowly until a little gas leaks out, then stop. No need to fully depress the cartridge.I'll keep this review up to date, but must say after a week of use I'm quite impressed.

I love the growler but the c02 only gets me about a cup of beer. I've burnt through 3 c02 tanks just to serve three 16 oz of beer. I feel like this isn't really designed to pour out of the nozzle but simply to keep beer fresh longer. Basically, it doesn't work. I feel like the pressure release valve should hold more pressure for a pour or they should simply design the cap to pour while tipping sideways and the c02 is simply to keep beer fresh. I've used the Keg Cap for about 10 months on about 20 64-oz growler fills. Works fine. I did find that you have to be very exact when you seat the cap. The tracks for the latch bars has to be line up straight so you do not apply too much stress on the latch. Fully open the tap to pour or you'll have a glass of foam.

It works as advertised, the quality of the threaded adapter is very poor, the plastic thread is frayed and as I thought this must be due to a blunt tool on the lathe I contacted the manufacturer and asked for a replacement. The customer service is very friendly and professional and they sent me a spare part for free. First time worked great. Second and third time so so. Foam. Beer blasting into glass from too much pressure. Probably user error. Gave four stars cause I want it to work and don't want to jinx it. I'll keep trying.

Took a little practice but I got the hang of it. Pour the first couple of pints from the drink tank (I gave the gallon one) before charging it. Filled my drink tank on a Saturday morning at a brewery and the next day at the beach, it was still nice and carbonated. Tbh, I did keep the drinktank in an ice chest submerged in icy water. I like my beer COLD. I’d say one cartridge will get you through to gallon growlers.

It is difficult to find co2 cartridges for the cap. Other than keeping a small amount of draft beer somewhat fresh it is very inefficient. Not worth the money.

We've used this keg cap on 10-12 growler fills since purchasing, both on our 64oz and 128oz DrinkTanks. We've tried varying levels of air pressure and varying degrees of finger pressure on the pour nozzle but can't manage to get a good pour with any consistency. We don't bother with the nozzle anymore but we're still glad we made the purchase because it does a better job of extending the life of our growlers than the regular cap, even if we do just pop the keg cap and pour like a regular…

I get either zero pressure or the beer shoots out extremely fast. No in between, and after every pour it needs to be pressurized. I have the 128oz drinktank growler so it might be good for keeping the growler carbonated when I don’t finish it.

I bought my current 64 oz growler of beer last Thursday afternoon, I will finish it tonight (Monday), and it is the DrinkTanks Keg Cap that kept the beer carbonated & fresh-tasting. My current CO2 canister is finishing its third growler and it still has a little gas left. Best of all, it has been great fun to use my Keg Cap dispenser! It took me a short time to get the hang of it. Mainly I have learned to use surprisingly slight pushes of CO2. Note my Keg Cap cap piece initially seemed too snug

I really like the drink tank, but don't buy this lid. Could be much improved. This lid does not maintain pressure and I have had to waste some expensive beer and that is not acceptable. Have tried it multiple times. I would ditch the tube and add a handle so it can seal.

I know there is a pressure release valve at 10psi but I wish I could dial in the pressure that I want so that it doesn't over pressurize. First pour is always foamy.

Fantastic product! This has been a great addition to my DrinkTank, makes an already great growler even better! Additional parts increase the risk of pieces getting lost or misplaced!

I really wanted to like this product. With it not being regulated, it pours a foamy brew for 90%, then perfect for 10 seconds, then out. Time to recharge. Also uses the externally threaded CO2 containers which are expensive. Really not worth it. If you are looking for a self dispensing growler unit, I would look at one of the others. As a Growler, these are top of the line. Not worth the price, and not enjoyable as a dispensing unit.
