I bought two 10 inch bolts. They came disassembled in a box. One had a rubber coating on the tip of the spool, the other didn't. One had paint defects on the top that didn't affect performance. I have a yard that is topsoil on glacial silt, albeit with a lot of rocks of different sizes, and I just screwed them in with a piece of pipe. I hooked a ratchet strap around my crooked tree (about 5 inches in diameter) and straightened it. So far so good, but let's see how it holds up in the north. I wish I had found them years ago when my tree was just starting to lean!
