So far so good with tents and shelters

I bought two 10 inch bolts. They came disassembled in a box. One had a rubber coating on the tip of the spool, the other didn't. One had paint defects on the top that didn't affect performance. I have a yard that is topsoil on glacial silt, albeit with a lot of rocks of different sizes, and I just screwed them in with a piece of pipe. I hooked a ratchet strap around my crooked tree (about 5 inches in diameter) and straightened it. So far so good, but let's see how it holds up in the north. I…

    Fiction! - Tents and Canopies

I have these anchored awnings that go down to the ground to protect our chickens from the hot midday sun. They seem so strong that I'm not worried about them at all. The sail will break before they break off the bottom. And if the sail doesn't snap I'm pretty sure it will blow the fence wall off before they're off the ground. I recommend running some sort of straight pole through the loop to give you something to hold onto to screw into the ground. I used the largest screwdriver I had, but…

    A must for large dogs

Love this tie. I wish I had found one like this years ago. There was no way to bend it; It's too thick metal. I stuck it in the ground after a rain shower and had to use almost nothing to tighten it (a screwdriver; a thick branch would do as well). I have a German Shepherd mix and she has pulled or bent the traditional ones out of the ground; not that bad boy. The handle is held in place by welded metal and I don't see a way to detach it and it's permanently attached to the base so it no longer

Perfect in Oklahoma Red Dirt! Safe and motionless!

This anchor is perfect for tying our strong 20kg dog where he is. We spend a lot of time at RV sites where dogs must be either leashed or leashed. This anchor worked better than we had hoped. And he will serve forever! This is one of the easiest five star reviews I have ever given. It's just PERFECT! That justifies my honest and VERY warm recommendation. If you're looking for a reliable anchor, you've found it! *If you found my review helpful, please let Revain know by clicking the "HELPFUL"…

Works perfectly; Just use the lever!

This is an extremely strong piece of metal and once it hits the ground it won't go anywhere - your dog will be safe. Burying it in the ground can be difficult; Here are two tips: 1. Use leverage. You won't drill it very deep by hand twisting the top loop. Instead, pierce with something: a spade handle, a screwdriver, a stiff branch. Now spin with this makeshift lever. It will make all the work ten times easier.2. If the soil is very hard and dry, pour water over the desired area and wait a…

Surprisingly, I didn't even know what I was looking for!

I was looking for something for my puppies. When I say the puppies don't get the wrong impression they are actually puppies, they are 6 months old but they weigh 45 and 65 pounds respectively😳. Morning potty walks became a workout for me. I've had standard threaded connections in the past. I looked around, then looked at them and thought, no, they'd like to drag him behind them. Loved the idea of how deep they go into the ground, love that they fold up for mowing! I was like, okay, I'll watch…

    Improved design and very durable

I've been using one of these for a few weeks now and am in the process of ordering a second one. I have two 100 lb dogs and a yard but no fence (yet). I used to have anchors with open triangular heads and a ring to which the cable was attached. Problems with it: 1) The ferrule wasn't as strong as the post and it broke a couple of times then rusted through. As you snap the triangular element, it may straighten up over time and allow the clip to slip off. 2) Dogs tended to wrap the cord around…

Versatile, durable and easy to use

I'm sure with these and some ratchet straps you can secure almost anything. I've used them to prop up a tarp, quickly fix fence posts, protect a wildlife camp, have an extra "hand" to lure a tree in the right direction, even something to hold an unburied arbor in place and hold position. I took them out of the ground after 2 years, rubbed them down and they look like new. They don't replace cast-in foundation support posts, of course, but they can come close (depending on the application) and…

The handle broke after being screwed into the ground about 10 times.

My wife and I bought this to tie our 40kg terrier mix to when we sit on our front yard or when we go camping and don't want her to run away. The day we received it (along with the 25ft cord) she ran towards the other dog at full speed and did a backflip when she reached the end (I hope she doesn't make that mistake yet once). The anchor didn't budge. My only complaint is that it's difficult to spin in hard packed dirt with bare hands. I often find a strong stick, stick it in the handle and use…
