The converter is ideal for connecting an old S-VHS VCR with S-Video output to a modern AV receiver that HDMI inputs preferred. Everything is simply connected with the appropriate cables and connectors and the converter outputs the appropriate digital signal via HDMI. Picture quality is very good (much better with an S-Video connection than would be possible with just an analogue RCA video line, which was the only other option. Stereo audio is also transmitted digitally and sounds great. The Denon receiver receives all signals simply as "HDMI" in the setup of the connector used, and all signals are sent to a good 4K TV via an HDMI connection between them A small power cable to the converter that doesn't snap and being prone to shifting seems the bulk of the connecting cords that gather behind the receiver. I've also chosen to power the converter and VCR from AC power via an extension cord that can be unplugged to save power when I'm not using it as an input. Arrived quickly and in very good quality packaging, even including a good 6ft HDMI cable. Very satisfied. Definitely order a Konve rter to you for the correct signal direction, as these offer separate conversion sources for HDMI input or output.
