Extremely easy to use. My handwriting was no different from that written with a felt-tip pen. Exactly what I was hoping for getting my name engraved on my stethoscope which I bought here at Revain. It was relatively quiet, and it was easy to keep the pen and object steady (the only part that moved your hand was the fact that you were engraving the object). Since then I have "taken away" all my tools, my bandage. Scissors, hemostatic forceps, flashlights, etc., all in less than 10 minutes. metal and other materials into dust particles that can easily get into the eyes. I engraved everything on a damp cloth to collect and get rid of the dust, and put on lab goggles that prevented a piece of plastic from getting in his eyes. Hope that helps :)
