When I took this star tree out of the box I wasn't particularly impressed. There were a few spots where the gold paint had been scratched and the whole star looked plasticky and a bit cheap to me. However, when I put it on the tree it started growing on me because it looks a lot better from a distance than it does up close. It also looks very pretty with the lights on. I had no problem connecting it to the garlands that were already on my tree. Overall I am happy with this star tree topper. This is a nice addition to my Christmas decorations.
