Check out my photo inside the spice organizer. They fit perfectly. In theory I could have a 4.2 ounce version but it would be weird to sell it. Compare to saffron: they are a bit thicker than many commercial spice bottles. But compare to spice jars: they are shorter than regular spice jars, which are too big. Look at the photo of an unlabeled water jug. The claimed 4 ounce capacity is absolutely correct. You hold 4 floz. not 4.1, but 4. I hope you can see it in the photo, but 4 ounces is already on the edge. Unless you're into that kind of thing, feel free to toss those "inner shaker lids" straight in the trash. They have a cool swing spout for pouring into a measuring spoon, for example. But that seems to be the cornerstone of the thing, as soon as you hold it (and you have to, it WANTS to close) its grip on the glass slacks significantly. Which luckily isn't a problem as they come with a surprisingly matching funnel. The narrowness is terrible. I tested by submerging some of them under water for about a week. They visibly leaked water and due to the fact that the air inside them escaped to the outside, the lids rusted.
