Review on Get A Boost Of Energy With Theralite Halo Light Therapy Lamp - UV Free 10,000 LUX Sun Lamp by Robert Lodge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Betta fish unexpectedly loves this light!

So, this light is larger than I had imagined. Both the base and the light are 8" in diameter and we currently have it set at just over 22" tall. That doesn't SEEM like a lot, but in reality, it looks quite large. It's also quite heavy, which I think is a good thing because it seems really sturdy. I initially set it up in my son's room to see how it worked with the intention to move it to my bedside table because of the wireless charging feature. However, 2 things happened. 1) I read the booklet that came with the lamp and it says the light can interfere with sleep so I decided it might not be a good idea to use as a bedside lamp for reading before bed, and 2) my son's Betta fish seems to really love the light! When we turn it on, he comes out of hiding and appears to play and swim around more with the light on. So now we turn it on for the Betta fish!I'm not sure about the mood-boosting effects of this light, as even though I spend a fair amount of time in the room with it on, I feel like I'm too eager to attribute a good mood to the light since that's what it's supposed to do. I CAN say with confidence, however, that it gives off a pleasant light that isn't harsh at all, even at the highest setting. Some things to note:-The wireless charger works on both an iPhone 8 and an iPhone 11, but won't work if the metal plate I use to attach my phone to a magnetic phone holder in the car is on the phone. This is not unexpected.-The difference in the 3 light settings/brightness is negligible in my opinion.-After being on for several hours, it is not even really warm to the touch.

Pros
  • The Theralite Halo's light is flicker-free, making it easy on the eyes for prolonged use
Cons
  • May not be appropriate for children or pets
