Got them for my daughter for Christmas and they came in at a full 18 (I always check you never know) They are made from a softer shirt material and if you look closely you can see some of through them it doesn't matter, they gather in your hair, don't they? Beautiful patterns and variety of colors just right for me, some dark, some light and some in between. I think if you look at product ads that's exactly what you get. 5 is the fancier type with the metal in the middle and I really think that's the cutest part. I would wear them if I didn't think my daughter would be embarrassed lol. Definitely a good product for the price.
