Review on 🌈 ALITOVE 100Pcs WS2812B Addressable Module: Versatile and Vibrant Lighting Solution by Darius Newberry

For some reason I decided to buy from a different brand/seller than last time. They have great reviews so I decided to give it a try. There was an error. Screen printing is a complete mess! Terrible first impression. But the most interesting thing is the bare copper cladding around the edge of a bunch of them, which my tester confirmed as 5V in/out! I just got them in the mail and will be sending them back. Soldering is tedious and I won't waste time soldering them. I will buy another set somewhere else. Too bad I needed it before Father's Day. Sloppy is one thing. Blurred/disrupted screen printing is cosmetic but is indicative of processing. You shouldn't have an open live connection around the edge. I don't want to expose ANYWHERE except pads. **EDIT/UPDATE** I was about to return them but my project couldn't wait for Kuman LEDs (great WS2812B I had previously bought) so I decided to give it a try anyway. Out of the 60 I re-soldered I only encountered one dead LED so I decided to edit my rating and upped it to 2 stars. I haven't tried ten on the edge with 5vdc open. Hot glue is enough to isolate it from contact with the edge of my case, it'll just be messy. Presentation is important to me and I like to see the inside of my projects. I love it when people see that my creations aren't bought off the shelf and ask questions about how things work. But I can't do that with these ALITOVE WS2812B LEDs because of the horrible screen printing, which is unfortunate. Dirty looking components will result in a messy project (unless you hide them - which is just not my style). So the bottom line is, yes, they work. But they look like garbage. I will NOT buy ALITOVE again and certainly will not recommend them. My Kuman WS2812B have always performed flawlessly, never had an LED burn out and they look fantastic.
