Review on Waterpik XAS 649E PowerPulse Massage Brushed by April Taylor

I have used Waterpik floss for many years and know this company mainly for oral hygiene products. However, I took the opportunity to try the XAS-643T and leave a review, not because my old showerhead broke, but mainly because I like the functional and comfortable rod-based showerheads. ------ -- -- ----------►Installation: For the most part, the installation is very easy and probably even the beginner can handle it. No tools are required to install the Waterpik shower head. It may require some tools to take your old shower head off though, maybe at least some locks and that was the case with my old shower head. The 643T model uses a plastic valve that attaches to the shower head and only requires hand tightening. The hose is then connected to the plastic valve and the shower head is connected to the hose. The included instructions describe the installation process quite well, however the instructions do not recommend the use of pipe tape. I'm not sure why that is and a quick test after I installed everything revealed a small leak where the valve attaches to the J-tube. Finally I removed the valve and used a piece of tape, checked the connection again and confirmed I had no leaks. ------- ►Key Thoughts & Experiences So Far: I have had good luck with Waterpik products in the past and I hope this shower head continues. For the most part, everything about this showerhead is plastic, including the valve, valve fittings, and showerhead. This might be a twist for some people, but everything seems to be working fine so far. My wife and I have been using this shower head in our master bathroom for a few days and so far we love it. The various massage functions are quite good and not so strong that the water hurts. We mostly left the valve in the wide spread position, which provides good pressure and water coverage. I've even used this shower head with my kids when they needed a quick shower after playing outside.
